Holdingford Huskers (Holdingford, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Paynesville Bulldogs (Paynesville, MN), 62-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Holdingford upgrades its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Huskers host Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 10-9. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa lost 66-59 in their recent non-league bout against Kimball (Kimball, MN)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Falcons (Grove City, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Paynesville will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 56-29 non-league win over Maple Lake (Maple Lake, MN).
