Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Rusk Raiders (New London, TX), 65-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 23-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Arp (Arp, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 16 bout on Friday, February 2. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-23. Arp lost 67-30 in their recent league bout against West Rusk (New London, TX)

Next up, the Raiders play the Tatum Eagles (Tatum, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 bout, on Friday, February 2. West Rusk will attempt to upgrade on its 9-19 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 25-1 record after their 84-31 league win over Waskom (Waskom, TX).
