Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) and the host Joliet West Tigers (Joliet, IL), saw Plainfield South's basketball squad hold off Joliet West by a count of 67-65.
With the victory, Plainfield South upgrades its record to 17-8 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL) to play the Bengals in a SouthWest Prairie - East challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 8-16. Plainfield East won 61-59 in their recent league challenge against Joliet Central (Joliet, IL)
Next up, the Tigers play the Romeoville Spartans (Romeoville, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie - East challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Joliet West will attempt to upgrade on its 13-11 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 23-3 record after their 52-38 league win over Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL).
