Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX), 56-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kenedy upgrades its record to 17-12 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-9. Three Rivers lost 29-26 in their recent league bout against Yorktown (Yorktown, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Refugio Bobcats (Refugio, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 bout, on Friday, February 2. Yorktown will attempt to upgrade on its 10-22 season record. The Bobcats come into the battle with a 18-11 record after their 31-24 league loss to Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX).
