Laker Lakers (Pigeon, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Reese Rockets (Reese, MI), 37-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Laker upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Lakers host Bad Axe (Bad Axe, MI) to play the Hatchets in a Greater Thumb - West bout on Thursday, February 1. The Hatchets go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Bad Axe won 45-31 in their recent non-league bout against Lakeville (Otisville, MI)

Next up, the Rockets play the Arthur Hill Lumberjacks (Saginaw, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Reese will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record.
