The Lovelady Lions basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Leon Cougars to 35 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grapeland for a 2A Region III District 20 contest on Friday, February 2.

The Cougars (24-5) will now prepare for their contest against Groveton (Groveton, TX). The Indians come into the 2A Region III District 20 contest with a 8-22 record. In their last contest, Groveton triumphed over Centerville (Centerville, TX), 50-48, in a league contest.
