Palmyra Cougars (Palmyra, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lower Dauphin Falcons (Hummelstown, PA), 38-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Palmyra upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Mechanicsburg (Mechanicsburg, PA) to play the Wildcats in a Mid-Penn - Keystone bout on Friday, February 2. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Mechanicsburg won 47-45 in their recent league bout against Mifflin County (Lewistown, PA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Northeastern Bobcats (Manchester, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Lower Dauphin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 18-1 record after their 53-35 league win over Susquehannock (Glen Rock, PA).
