New England Tigers (New England, ND) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mandaree Warriors (Mandaree, ND), 49-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, New England upgrades its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Hettinger/Scranton (Hettinger, ND) to play the Black Devils in a B District 5 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Black Devils come into the bout with a record of 8-9. Hettinger/Scranton won 45-37 in their recent league bout against Richardton-Taylor (Richardton, ND)

Next up, the Warriors play the Washburn Cardinals (Washburn, ND) in a B District 6 bout, on Friday, February 2. Mandaree will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 78-8 league win over White Shield (Roseglen, ND).
