The Maquoketa Cardinals basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Monticello Panthers to 30 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northeast for a River Valley - North contest on Wednesday, January 31. Maquoketa will battle a Rebels team coming off a 56-29 non-league win over Camanche (Camanche, IA). The Rebels record now stands at 14-5.

The Panthers (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast (Goose Lake, IA). The Rebels come into the non-league contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Northeast was routed by Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA), 59-24, in a league contest.
