The Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT) basketball nipped the visiting Milton Yellowjackets (Milton, VT), 48-45 in Tuesday's league test.
The Commodores (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Missisquoi Valley (Swanton, VT). The Thunderbirds go into the Lake test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Missisquoi Valley was tipped by Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT), 42-35, in a league test.
The Yellowjackets now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Middlebury for a Lake test on Friday, February 2. Milton will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 51-23 league loss to Colchester (Colchester, VT). The Tigers record now stands at 4-10.
