Mt. Abraham Eagles (Bristol, VT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds (Swanton, VT), 42-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Abraham upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Rutland (Rutland, VT) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Rutland won 45-32 in their recent league bout against Mount Anthony (Bennington, VT)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT) in a Lake bout, on Friday, February 2. Missisquoi Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Commodores go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 48-45 league win over Milton (Milton, VT).
