South Wasco County Redsides (Maupin, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler (Mitchell, OR), 49-41 in a league bout.

With the win, South Wasco County upgrades its record to 16-8 on the season. The Redsides travel to Dufur (Dufur, OR) to play the Rangers in a 1A Big Sky bout on Friday, February 2. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 3-14. Dufur lost 49-20 in their recent league bout against Condon (Condon, OR)

Next up, the play the Bickleton Pirates (Bickleton, WA) in a 1A Big Sky bout, on Friday, February 2. Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 47-21 league win over Horizon Christian (Hood River, OR).
