Northeast Vernon County Knights (Walker, MO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Montrose Blue Jays (Montrose, MO), 41-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northeast Vernon County upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Knights host Lakeland (Deepwater, MO) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 4-12.

Next up, the Blue Jays play the Sheldon Panthers (Sheldon, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Montrose will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record.
