In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Waynflete Flyers (Portland, ME) basketball squad felled the visiting Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME), by a margin of 55-37.
The Flyers (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 14-1 record. In their last outing, Hall-Dale thwarted Dirigo (Dixfield, ME), 71-19, in a league outing.
The Seagulls now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host St. Dominic for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. Old Orchard Beach will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 47-32 non-league loss to Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME). The Saints record now stands at 8-6.
