With the victory, Pershing County improves its record to 21-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA) to confront the Lakers in a 2A Northern challenge on Friday, February 2. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 16-2. North Tahoe won 40-33 in their recent league challenge against Yerington (Yerington, NV)

Next up, the Lions confront the Incline Highlanders (Incline Village, NV) in a 2A Northern challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Yerington will attempt to improve on its 14-9 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 0-14 record after their 45-14 league loss to Coral Academy of Science - Reno (Reno, NV).
