The Steinert Spartans basketball team (Hamilton, NJ), was nudged 45-39 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Princeton Tigers (Princeton, NJ)
The Tigers now possess a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robbinsville for a non-league battle on Friday, February 2. Princeton will battle a Ravens team coming off a 28-24 non-league win over New Egypt (New Egypt, NJ). The Ravens record now stands at 11-7.
The Spartans (10-7) will now prepare for their battle against Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ). The Garnet Gulls come into the non-league battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, Point Pleasant Beach edged Asbury Park (Asbury Park, NJ), 33-19, in a league battle.
