In Tuesday's league outing, the South Medford Panthers (Medford, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the host South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), by a count of 70-15.
The Panthers (15-3) will now prepare for their outing against Sheldon (Eugene, OR). The Irish go into the 6A Southwest outing with a 9-8 record. In their last outing, Sheldon smashed Roseburg (Roseburg, OR), 44-34, in a league outing.
The Axe now hold a 5-13 record. They play next when they travel to North Medford for a 6A Southwest outing on Friday, February 2. South Eugene will clash with a Black Tornado squad coming off a 75-54 league loss to Willamette (Eugene, OR). The Black Tornado record now stands at 7-11.
