With the win, Yates upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Lions host Wheatley (Houston, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, February 2. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 14-11. Wheatley won 44-25 in their recent league bout against Kashmere (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Worthing Colts (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 21 bout, on Friday, February 2. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 19-9 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 12-12 record after their 73-29 league win over Furr (Houston, TX).
