The Wolfe City Wolves basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Whitewright Tigers to 19 in the Wolves league victory on Tuesday.
The Wolves now sport a 16-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tom Bean for a 2A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Wolfe City will battle a Tomcats team coming off a 35-29 league win over Trenton (Trenton, TX). The Tomcats record now stands at 7-17.
The Tigers (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX). The Warriors come into the 2A Region II District 14 contest with a 21-10 record. In their last contest, Honey Grove triumphed over Bland (Merit, TX), 41-23, in a league contest.
