The Croatan Cougars basketball team scored 34 points and held the visiting Richlands Wildcats to 19 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Carteret for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Croatan will battle a Patriots team coming off a 21-16 non-league loss to Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 5-5.
The Wildcats (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 2-7 record.
