East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC), 29-9 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Lincoln upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Mustangs travel to West Iredell (Statesville, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-10. West Iredell lost 37-23 in their recent non-league bout against Foard (Newton, NC)

Next up, the Greyhounds clash with the Foard Tigers (Newton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Statesville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 37-23 non-league win over West Iredell (Statesville, NC).
