Virginia High School Basketball - Franklin County can't hold off William Byrd

The William Byrd Terriers basketball team scored 14 points and held the host Franklin County Eagles to 12 in the Terriers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Terriers now sport a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Staunton River for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. William Byrd will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 33-14 non-league win over Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 15-2.
The Eagles (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against Halifax County (South Boston, VA). The Comets enter the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Halifax County nudged Martinsville (Martinsville, VA), 30-26, in a non-league contest.
