The Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) basketball nipped the host Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC), 39-34 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bears (15-1) will now prepare for their test against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Falcons go into the test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, West Henderson got by Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC), 50-20, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they host North Henderson for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. Franklin will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 38-35 non-league win over Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 4-11.
