In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) basketball squad felled the host J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA), by a margin of 31-22.
The Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against Jenkins (Jenkins, KY). The Cavaliers go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record.
The Black Raiders now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Eastside for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. J.I. Burton will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 41-27 non-league loss to Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-1.
