Willits Wolverines (Willits, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lower Lake Trojans (Lower Lake, CA), 44-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Willits upgrades its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Windsor (Windsor, CA) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 9-10. Windsor lost 49-31 in their recent league bout against Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA)

Next up, the Trojans play the St. Helena Saints (St. Helena, CA) in a bout, on Friday, February 2. Lower Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 18-4 season record. The Saints come into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 34-18 non-league loss to Novato (Novato, CA).
