California High School Basketball - Nevada Union can't hold off West Park

The Nevada Union Miners basketball team (Grass Valley, CA), was nudged 42-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host West Park Panthers (Roseville, CA)

The Panthers now sport a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ponderosa for a battle on Thursday, February 1. West Park will battle a Bruins team coming off a 52-1 league win over Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 20-5.

The Miners (11-11) will now prepare for their battle against Placer (Auburn, CA). The Hillmen come into the battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Placer was nudged by Colfax (Colfax, CA), 43-28, in a non-league battle.
