The Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) basketball nipped the host Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA), 42-40 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Governors (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Dan River got by Altavista (Altavista, VA), 60-51, in a non-league test.
The Raiders now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Chatham for a test on Thursday, February 1. Appomattox County will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 50-43 non-league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 8-8.
