Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC), 43-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Erwin upgrades its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host McDowell (Marion, NC) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 12-0. McDowell won 57-48 in their recent non-league bout against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Asheville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Rockets come into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 40-31 non-league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).
