The Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) basketball felled the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), 45-31 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Screaming Eagle (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers go into the non-league test with a 10-2 record.
The Cougars now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they host New Hanover for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. South Brunswick will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 49-29 non-league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-0.
