In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) basketball squad edged the host Charlotte Latin Hawks (Charlotte, NC), by a count of 46-39.
The Lions (11-4) will now prepare for their outing against Providence Day (Charlotte, NC). The Chargers go into the non-league outing with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, Providence Day held off Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC), 72-52, in a non-league outing.
The Hawks now hold a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Carmel Christian for a non-league outing on Thursday, February 1. Charlotte Latin will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 44-42 non-league loss to Greater Cabarrus Stallions (Concord, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-9.
