Lafayette Hornets (Mayo, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Chiefland Indians (Chiefland, FL), 60-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lafayette upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Suwannee (Live Oak, FL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Suwannee lost 53-50 in their recent non-league bout against Lafayette (Mayo, FL)
