Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA), 61-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northampton upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Yellowjackets host King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA) to clash with the Royal Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Royal Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-7.

Next up, the Ponies clash with the Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Chincoteague will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Firebirds go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 60-52 non-league loss to Nandua (Onley, VA).
