Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Kinston Vikings (Kinston, NC) and the visiting East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC), saw Kinston's basketball squad knock off East Duplin by a count of 47-27.

With the victory, Kinston upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC) to play the Stallions in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 2. The Stallions come into the challenge with a record of 1-12.

Next up, the Panthers play the Heide Trask Titans (Rocky Point, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. East Duplin will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 53-49 non-league win over Whiteville (Whiteville, NC).
