Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lancaster Red Devils (Lancaster, VA), 34-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Westmoreland upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 11-2. Rappahannock won 48-28 in their recent non-league bout against Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Lancaster will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 12-2 record after their 49-29 non-league win over Westmoreland (Montross, VA).
