The Topsail Pirates basketball team (Hampstead, NC), dropped 49-29 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC)
The Wildcats now possess a 12-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Brunswick for a non-league battle on Friday, February 2. New Hanover will confront a Cougars team coming off a 45-31 non-league loss to Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-12.
The Pirates (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions come into the non-league battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, North Brunswick dropped by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 50-44, in a non-league battle.
