Oakesdale Nighthawks (Oakesdale, WA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting St. John-Endicott Eagles (St. John, WA), 54-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Oakesdale upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Nighthawks travel to Colfax (Colfax, WA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 17-3. Colfax won 58-29 in their recent non-league bout against Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna (Ritzville, WA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Pomeroy Pirates (Pomeroy, WA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. St. John-Endicott will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 47-4 non-league win over Rosalia (Rosalia, WA).
