Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC), 34-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Swansboro upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a bout on Thursday, February 1. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Dixon won 28-24 in their recent non-league bout against West Carteret (Morehead City, NC)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. White Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 51-41 non-league loss to Croatan (Newport, NC).
