Georgia High School Basketball - Appling County defeats Cook

January 30, 2025: Adel, GA 31620

The Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) basketball were winner over the host Cook Hornets (Adel, GA), 63-52 in Thursday's league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 7-13 record. They play next when they host Tattnall County for a AA Region 3 bout on Saturday, February 1. Appling County will play a Warriors team coming off a 44-38 league win over Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 16-2.

With the loss, Cook falls to 4-17 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA) to play the Bears in a AA Region 3 bout on Friday, February 7. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Pierce County lost 73-51 in their recent league bout against Crisp County (Cordele, GA)
