Louisiana High School Basketball - Ascension Catholic routs Highland Baptist Christian

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Ascension Catholic Bulldogs basketball team scored a big 81-36 triumph over the Highland Baptist Christian Bears.
The Bulldogs (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against North Iberville (Rosedale, LA). The Bears go into the 1A District 8 contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, North Iberville smashed False River (New Roads, LA), 49-44, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bears battle the Westminster Christian Academy Chargers (Lafayette, LA) in a 1A District 6 contest, on Saturday, February 1. Highland Baptist Christian will attempt to better on its 8-18 season record. The Chargers go into the contest with a 12-11 record after their 69-55 non-league loss to Berwick (Berwick, LA).
