The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Avondale Yellowjackets (Auburn Hills, MI) and the visiting Ferndale Eagles (Ferndale, MI), observed Avondale's basketball team overwhelm Ferndale by a margin of 63-36.

The Yellowjackets (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Groves (Beverly Hills, MI). The Falcons come into the Oakland - Red challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, Groves was trounced by University Prep (Detroit, MI), 69-55, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the East Kentwood Falcons (Kentwood, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Ferndale will attempt to better on its 6-13 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 72-64 non-league loss to University of Detroit Jesuit (Detroit, MI).
