The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Beaverhead County Beavers (Dillon, MT) and the host Butte Central Catholic Maroons (Butte, MT), observed Beaverhead County's basketball team overcome Butte Central Catholic by a margin of 52-41.

The Beavers (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Stevensville (Stevensville, MT). The Yellowjackets come into the A Southwest challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Stevensville dropped by Frenchtown (Frenchtown, MT), 73-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Maroons battle the Corvallis Blue Devils (Corvallis, MT) in a A Southwest challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Butte Central Catholic will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 57-25 league loss to Beaverhead County (Dillon, MT).
