The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV) and the visiting Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV), observed Clay County's basketball team knock off Webster County by a score of 52-39.

The Panthers (3-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Man (Man, WV). The Hillbillies come into the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, Man prevailed over Montcalm (Montcalm, WV), 49-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Highlanders encounter the South Harrison Hawks (Lost Creek, WV) in a Little Kanawha - East challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Webster County will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record.
