The George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) basketball crushed the visiting Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners (Deer Isle, ME), 77-10 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Piscataquis for a C North bout on Friday, January 31. George Stevens Academy will play a Pirates team coming off a 57-32 non-league win over Searsport (Searsport, ME). The Pirates record now stands at 4-9.
With the loss, Deer Isle-Stonington falls to 0-17 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME) to play the Patriots in a D North bout on Monday, February 3. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Bangor Christian lost 37-32 in their recent non-league bout against Machias (Machias, ME)
