The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Lamar Christian Lions (Purvis, MS) and the host Discovery Christian (Florence, MS), observed Lamar Christian's basketball team overcome Discovery Christian by a score of 43-28.
The Lions (24-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS). The Saints come into the non-league challenge with a 20-5 record. In their last test, Sylva Bay Academy beat Prentiss Christian (Prentiss, MS), 54-18, in a non-league test.
