Maine High School Basketball - Erskine Academy nips Morse

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Erskine Academy Eagles basketball team scored a close 40-37 win over the Morse Shipbuilders.
The Eagles (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mount View (Thorndike, ME). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Mount View edged Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME), 53-36, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Shipbuilders battle the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) in a B South contest, on Saturday, February 1. Morse will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Hornets come into the contest with a 7-9 record after their 56-44 league loss to Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME).
