Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), 58-52 in a league match.
With the victory, Flowery Branch advances its record to 9-15 on the year. The Falcons host Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA) to face the Jaguars in a AAAA Region 8 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 14-9.
The Warriors now own a 3-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastside for a AAAA Region 8 match on Friday, January 31. Walnut Grove will face a Eagles squad coming off a 59-47 league loss to North Oconee (Bogart, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 12-10.
