The Kearsarge Cougars (North Sutton, NH) basketball were winner over the visiting Newport Tigers (Newport, NH), 69-55 in Thursday's league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to Newfound Regional for a Division III bout on Tuesday, February 4. Kearsarge will play a Bears team coming off a 64-55 league loss to Belmont (Belmont, NH). The Bears record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Newport falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Hillsboro-Deering (Hillsboro, NH) to play the Hillcats in a Division III bout on Friday, January 31. The Hillcats go into the bout with a record of 1-11. Hillsboro-Deering lost 78-37 in their recent league bout against Kearsarge (North Sutton, NH)
