Virginia High School Basketball - Meridian overwhelms Kettle Run

The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 79 points and limited the host Kettle Run Cougars to 50 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.
The Mustangs now possess a 16-0 record. They play next when they travel to Millbrook for a Northwestern game on Friday, January 31. Meridian will play a Pioneers team coming off a 72-54 league loss to Handley (Winchester, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Kettle Run falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Cougars host Skyline (Front Royal, VA) to play the Hawks in a Northwestern game on Friday, January 31. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 14-2. Skyline won 82-61 in their recent league game against Sherando (Stephens City, VA)
