The Lanier Bulldogs basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Murrah Mustangs to 40 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 19-4 record. They play next when they travel to McComb for a 4A Region 6 game on Tuesday, February 4. Lanier will play a Tigers team coming off a 75-32 league loss to Raymond (Raymond, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 2-16.

With the loss, Murrah falls to 5-18 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Germantown (Madison, MS) to play the Mavericks in a 7A Region 2 game on Friday, January 31. The Mavericks go into the game with a record of 20-4. Germantown won 48-31 in their recent league game against Tupelo (Tupelo, MS)
