The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mount View Golden Knights (Welch, WV) and the host Maranatha Christian Academy Knights (Princeton, WV), observed Mount View's basketball team overcome Maranatha Christian Academy by a score of 55-44.
The Golden Knights (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV). The Wildcats come into the Coalfield A challenge with a 1-11 record. In their last challenge, Meadow Bridge dropped by Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV), 81-36, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights battle the New Life Christian Academy Lions (Summersville, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Maranatha Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 10-9 record after their 71-51 non-league loss to Bloomingdale (Barboursville, WV).
